A historic Mansard-roofed Victorian in Davis Square needed full slate replacement on the steep lower slope. The original 1880s slate had reached end-of-life with widespread fastener corrosion. We sourced replacement slate that matched the original color and pattern, installed copper-clad coping at the upper roof rim, and worked with Somerville Historic Commission to maintain period correctness.
