Half-round copper, K-style aluminum, hidden-hanger systems. Properly sloped, properly fastened, properly drained. Repairs that hold; replacements that age in.
Half-round copper gutters with hidden hangers are the standard for older Boston homes. They drain better than K-style, they age into a verdigris that improves the look of the house, and properly soldered seams last fifty years without maintenance.
We install half-round copper, K-style aluminum, and box gutters built into the cornice. We also do gutter repair: re-pitching sagging runs, replacing failed seam joints, fitting new hidden hangers, and replacing rotted fascia behind the gutter where water has been hiding for a decade.
We don't install gutter guards as a default. They are a solution to a problem that proper installation often prevents. We'll quote them if you want them. We'll usually recommend cleaning twice a year instead.

Senior craftsmen, owner-walked, period-correct materials, sweat-soldered copper. No shortcuts on any of these.
We check the existing pitch, the downspout placement, and the underlying fascia condition. The gutter is usually the easy part; the fascia behind it is where the surprise lives.
Half-round copper, K-style aluminum, or box. Hanger spacing. Downspout count and placement. Each line item priced honestly.
Continuous runs hand-pitched on-site for proper flow. Hidden hangers fastened into rafter ends, not just sheathing. Soldered seams on copper.
We walk every job ourselves. We bid honestly. The smaller fix is usually the right one.
